Fouad Zmokhol holds a PhD in Business Administration.
He also was the General Secretary of the Lebanese Businessmen Association.
Furthermore, he is the General Manager of Zimco Group.
Additionally, he is a member of the member Lebanese Management Association and a board member of both the Forum Francophone des Affaires and LTA.
Fouad Zmokhol is a professor at the University of Saint Joseph in Lebanon. Kamal Shehadi is the designated President of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Lebanon.
He has advised on telecommunications, liberalization, the establishment of regulatory authorities, ministries of telecommunication firms, international organizations and other public institutes.
Dr. Shehadi was the Director of Research of the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies from 1994 to 1997.
Later on, in 1997 and in 1998, he was a senior advisor on privatization of the Lebanese Ministry of Economics and Trade.
He holds a PhD in International Political Economy and is the author of several books and reports on privatization, foreign direct investment, public finance, fiscal deficit, international political economy amongst others. Nassib Ghobril joined the Byblos Bank Group in March 2006 as Head of the Economic Research & Analysis Department.
Previously, he was Head of Research at Lebanon Invest, a leading investment bank in Lebanon at the time, where he worked from 1997 till 2002. He then joined Saradar Investment House – the investment banking arm of Groupe Saradar – as Head of Research and built a research department from the ground up.
After Bank Audi acquired Saradar in mid-2004, he joined the research department of Audi as Deputy Head of Research & Head of Sector Research where he expanded the scope of the research being conducted there.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from the American University of Beirut. He then earned an MA in International Relations from the American University in Washington, DC and a Master in International Management with a concentration in finance form the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in the United States. Mohamad Mattar is the managing partner of the Mattar, Mouawad, Majdalany, El Khazen Law Firm in Lebanon.
He graduated with both a law degree from the Lebanese University and philosophy degree from the American University of Beirut.
He pursued his post graduate studies at the University of London – School of Oriental and African Studies and at Oxford University – St. Anthony’s College.
He is also a lecturer at the Saint Joseph University in Lebanon. Gérard Zovighian is an auditor and managing partner of BDO Fiduciaire du Moyen Orient in Lebanon. Prior to that, he has worked as an auditor for Price Waterhouse in Paris and BDO in London.
Furthermore, he was also a member of the Lebanese Association of Certified Public Accountants, an attorney at law at the Paris Bar Association, member of the National Chamber for Financial Counseling, and an advisor to the Beirut Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He has been active in several international and Lebanese associations. Amongst others, he is a founding member of LTA, has been elected as board member of Transparency International in 2005, and is an advisor and knight of the Order of Malta. Fadi Saab holds an MBA in Finance a BA in Economics and Statistics.
He began his career in 1979 in the banking field in London and New York until 1985, when he resigned from Bankers Trust Co as Vice President, International Investment Management Group for the Middle East and Africa.
In 1986, he established Trans Capital Holding, a group of companies active in finance and management consultancy with direct investment in the fields of Aviation and Tourism. He was Chairman and President of several related companies in Europe and the Middle East including two passenger charter airlines, a tour operator and others supporting services. He has been Chairman and President of Trans Mediterranean Airways since 1996.
He is currently a Board Member of the Lebanese Society for Quality and Chairman of the Tourism Committee at the International Chamber of Commerce in Lebanon and Chairman of the Business Ethics Committee at the American-Lebanese Chamber of Commerce.
Moreover, he is a founding member and former Board Member at the American Bankers Association in North America. Yahya Hakim holds a degree in Management & Finance and in Economics & Marketing from the Centre International des Etudes Supérieures de Tourisme, another one in Social Anthropology from the University of Wyoming, and one in Finance & Accounting.
Moreover, he is the financial and economical advisor to the President of the Lebanese Republic. He is also a business consultant for the public sector of the United Nations’ Development Programme.
He is the President of the Ministry of Finance Cabinet in Lebanon and the co-founder of the “Center for Economic Policy Research and Analysis”. He also is Trans Mediterranean’s director. Nada AbdelSater AbuSamra is a corporate and finance attorney practicing in Beirut – Lebanon, and is also admitted to the courts of New York.
In addition to her law degree from the Saint Joseph University in Beirut, she holds a BSc from the American University of Beirut and an LL.M from Harvard Law School with emphasis on corporate governance and corporate law.
She is an active member of several boards of directors, including LTA, LCGTF, and the Lebanese Institute for Excellence in Government. She is the author of various articles, and a speaker on corporate governance in several national and international conferences. Charles Adwan is presently a governance specialist at the Social and Economic Development Group of the World Bank’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Vice Presidency.
As a member of the MENA governance team, he participates in missions that work closely with senior officials to help realize their reform agendas. He was part of the core team that conducted the consultations, in the MENA region, around the World Bank’s Governance and Anti- Corruption strategy.
Previously, Mr. Adwan was Executive Director of LTA, which he co-founded. In this capacity, he led many advocacy and awareness raising initiatives in Lebanon and in the MENA region. He also played a key role in the establishment of several regional and global networks such as the Arab Region Parliamentarians Against Corruption.
He conducted research and published on many governance issues, such as freedom of information, nepotism, corporate governance, electoral reform, and corruption in post-war reconstruction. Yasser Akkaoui is the founder of the Center for Strategic Studies, a non-profit organization engaged in awareness creation on employment concerns and resources development strategies for the 21st century.
Moreover, Mr. Akkaoui represents the interests of EXECUTIVE Magazine, the Middle East’s most respected economic and trade publication since 2001.
He is also the founder of Capital Concept sal, a business development advisory firm that in addition to its consultancy services, is specialized in fundraising for Civil Society initiatives clients.
Mr. Akkaoui created also PrimeJob, a headhunting agency working alongside some of the biggest companies around the Middle East. Additionally, he is a Management and Entrepreneurship instructor at AUB, thus exposing students to real life case studies that help them assess opportunities in regional economies and adapt their decision making to the ever changing business environment in the Middle East. Faysal El Kak is a medical doctor, specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a public health professional who has been involved for over 10 years in clinical and academic work, and in national and international organizations as consultant and advisor. Currently he is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut.
With the UN agencies, namely UNFPA, he consulted on various women’s health issues in Lebanon and the Region. He has authored and co-authored many scientific papers, articles, and chapters
In addition, he is the chair of the scientific committee of the Lebanese Ob/Gyn and the Arab Women Health Initiative of the Arab Federation of Obstetrician and Gynecologist.
On the National level, he is the president of the Beqaa branch of the AUB alumni, member of the National Social Health Association, and LADE. Internationally, he is a founding member of the Coalition for Sexual and Bodily Rights (CSBR). Chadia El Meouchi is a member of the New York Bar since 2000 and currently partner of Badri and Salim El Meouchi Law Firm in Beirut.
She has been practicing law in Canada and Lebanon for approximately ten years. She has been a board member of LTA since 2002.
She obtained an LL.M in international Law from Georgetown University in 2000, an LLB – Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Montreal in 1998, a Bachelor in Commerce, major in international business from Concordia University in 1995, and a license in Alternative methods of Conflict Resolution by the Quebec International Commerce Arbitration Centre1998.
She is the author of numerous publications on various subjects such as corporate governance, privatization, the Lebanese banking and financial services sector, and intellectual property.
Chadia el Meouchi has been awarded the recognition of leading Corporate and Commercial lawyer for Lebanon by the Chambers Global Guide for Leading Lawyers in 2004, 2005, and 2006. |
